Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat

Entering the season, many thought that Hassan Whiteside definitely had the potential to do great things in the NBA, especially with the way he played in the second half of last season, but I don’t think anyone expected what he’s been able to do this year.

Overall, Whiteside is averaging 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks per game. Since the NBA All-Star break, and since Chris Bosh‘s absence, Whiteside has upped those averages to 19 point, 15 rebounds and four blocks. He also has three triple-doubles on the season.

As of late, Whiteside has been the difference for the Heat since the All-Star break. Ever since moving to the bench, Big Hass has been a monster for Miami, feasting off most team’s second units. His recent change of attitude has also allowed him to be trusted by his teammates more, which leads to more opportunities on the court.
