NBA Draft: 8 Interesting Prospects To Watch In Day 1 Of The NCAA Tournament
Domantas Sabonis, Gonzaga
(11) Gonzaga vs Seton Hall (6) – Thursday, 9:57 PM (ET)
If Domantas Sabonis sounds familiar, it’s because his father is the great Arvydas Sabonis. Just like his father, Domantas brings is an interesting prospect for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. He isn’t going to jump off the TV screen by any means, but his energy and athleticism is infectious.
The fact that he also averages 17 points and 12 rebounds on 62 percent shooting isn’t bad, either. Sabonis stands at 6-foot-10 as a true big men in this year’s draft. He’ll probably be one of the first centers to be taken in the draft and deservedly so.
His relentless motor is what separates Sabonis from the rest of the big men in this year’s draft. He never seems to stop and almost has an entirely extra gear than his competition. Sabonis is by no means a finished product, but has the potential to be a very good player at the next level.
