Ivan Rabb, California

(13) Hawaii vs California (4) – Friday, 2:00 PM (ET)

Another freshmen that is powering California’s recent rise to prominence in college basketball is Ivan Rabb, who has had an almost as impressive first year on campus as Jaylen Brown. Rabb is averaging 13 points and nine rebounds for the Bears this season.

Rabb is a 6-foot-11 power forward that can run with the best of them. He’s a better than average rim protector and excels when he’s in control on the block. Aside from his one or two polished post moves that he has in his repertoire – one of them being his patented hook shot – Rabb doesn’t have much of a second or third move on the post.

Once he can expand his offensive routine, Rabb has the potential to be a very effective player in the NBA. He’s almost a prototypical stretch 5 that the NBA is slowly transitioning to.
