2016 NBA Draft: Eight Prospects To Watch In Day 2 Of The NCAA Tournament
Diamond Stone, Maryland
(12) South Dakota State vs Maryland (5) – Friday, 4:30 PM (ET)
I won’t say. I won’t do it. I’m not that type of — OK…Stone is a Diamond in the rough.
But in all seriousness, Diamond Stone is one of the best big men prospects entering the 2016 NBA Draft. Standing at 6-foot-10 and averaging 13 points, six rebounds and nearly two blocks per game, Stone is projected to be a first-round draft pick, possibly even a lottery pick if things fall the right way.
On the court, Stone is a talented (near 7-footer) that excels with his back to the basket. He also runs the floor really well for a big man and has great hands. Stone isn’t going to be the center piece of any franchise at the next level, but he could be a great asset to any team that is in need of a big man.
