NBA: 10 Players That Have Had Disappointing 2015-16 Seasons

Ty Lawson

Stats: 5.7 points, 3.4 assists, 38% FG, 33% 3PT

This summer when the Houston Rockets traded for Ty Lawson, many thought that would be the final piece for team that was fresh off a Western Conference Finals run. Instead, the opposite happened, and the Lawson move blew up in the team’s face.

Lawson didn’t up to live to expectations – he wasn’t even average. The veteran point guard averaged career lows is points, assists, rebounds, field goal percentage and three-point percentage during his time with the Rockets. After failing to find a trade partner at the NBA Trade Deadline, the Rockets bought out the former Tarheel.

Once he cleared waivers, Lawson landed with the Indiana Pacers. After playing five minutes in his first stint with the team, he suffered an ankle injury that he still hasn’t been able to shake. Perhaps this just isn’t Lawson’s season, to say the least.
