Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat

Stats: 13.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.8 blocks

After half a season in which Hassan Whiteside dominated on a lottery team, not many knew what to expect from him this season. Was it empty stat-padding or was Whiteside an unprecedented big man that fell through the cracks?

We know a little more now. However, it’s the damage that Whiteside has done since the NBA All-Star break that earned him a spot on this list.

Since Chris Bosh went down with his illness, Whiteside has been instrumental in his absence. He’s averaged 18 points (third best on the team), 14 rebounds and three blocks on nearly 60 percent shooting from the field. He’s been a big part why the Heat hasn’t had that much of a letdown sans Bosh.
