NBA: 10 Players That Exceeded Expectations In 2015-16
Rodney Hood, Utah Jazz
Stats: 14.5 points, 14.21 PER
Rodney Hood made a huge jump from year 1 to year 2, but I don’t think anyone expected it to be this big. Hood is now the team’s third leading scorer, right behind Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors.
And with the absence of Dante Exum and/or a reliable point guard this season, Hood has meant that much more for the Utah Jazz. Without Hood making this jump from his rookie to sophomore year, I’m not even sure Utah is in a playoff race right now.
Hood has a bright future in the NBA. We should see him flourish even more next season, which should include efficiency. That’s next for him.
