With less than 10 game remaining in the season, the Washington Wizards remain three games back of Indiana Pacers for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. That’t…not ideal. It’s almost impossible for them to make that much ground with under 10 games to play.

Nevertheless, the Wizards have been a disappointment this season from the opening tip.

Washington opened the season with two-striaght wins, but then followed that nice start up with losing four of five games. They never recovered. However, what really makes the Wizards a big disappointment is we thought this team was ready to take the next step. The argument could be made that Washington was a John Wall injury away from making the Eastern Conference Finals last season.

Expectations were high entering the year. The Wizards flat out failed.
