NBA: The Top Seven 2015-16 Coach Of The Year Candidates
Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are on pace win their most games as a team since the days of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen – and in large part because of Brad Stevens, the NBA’s Boy Wonder.
Stevens is a baby face killer that can coach with the best of them. Most known for his excellent ATO (after time out) play calls, Stevens is arguably the hottest coach (considering his age and success) in the NBA. And the Celtics found him.
The Celtics will probably finish with 48 wins this season and as a top 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. Looking at their roster, it doesn’t exactly add up. But Stevens more than levels the playing field with his aggressive defensive strategy and team-style offense.
Boston was an 8 seed in last year’s playoffs. They’re going to be a top 4 seed this year without really adding any key players. Think about that.
