NBA: The Top Seven 2015-16 Coach Of The Year Candidates
Dwane Casey, Toronto Raptors
Even though he probably won’t garner many votes, I truly believe that Dwane Casey should definitely get some love. The Toronto Raptors will win 50-plus games for the first time in the history of their franchise this season, and will be the second seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
In fact, some even believe the Raptors have enough, with the unpredictability of the Cleveland Cavaliers, to make the NBA Finals. The Raptors should be the favorites to make the Eastern Conference Finals opposite of LeBron James, at the very least.
Considering that this is a team that was bounced in the first round in each of the last two seasons, that’s impressive. Toronto could’ve fell apart after failing early in the playoffs in two straight seasons. Instead, Casey helped changed the dialogue in the locker room and has his team sporting the second best record in the conference.
Impressive.
