NBA: The Top Seven 2015-16 Coach Of The Year Candidates
Dave Joerger, Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies are sitting in the 5th seed of the Western Conference currently. Considering everything that they’ve had to overcome this season, that’s awfully impressive. And you have to give a lot of that credit to Dave Joerger.
For a coach that was rumored to be on the hot seat earlier this season, he’s done a heck of a job changing the narrative.
Memphis has had to play an NBA record 28 players this season, because of injury. The Grizzlies lost Marc Gasol, Mario Chalmers, P.J. Hairston (likely), Jordan Adams (likely), Brandan Wright and Mike Conley for the remainder of the season. Yet, Joerger has found a way to continue to instill fight in what’s left of his team.
