2006 vs Suns
Kobe Bryant had some great moments in the NBA, as has been evident thus far on this list. However, there aren’t many that get any better than his performance in Game 4 of the 2006 NBA Playoffs. Coming in the Los Angeles Lakers were the 7th seed, playing against the 2nd seed Phoenix Suns.
Leading the series – surprisingly – 2-1, the Lakers had a huge opportunity to take a commanding lead in the series. They needed a special performance by Kobe at the Staples Center. He delivered.
Not only did Kobe steal the ball from Steve Nash with eight seconds remaining, but he also hit the game-tying shot to send the game into overtime. Once there, Kobe hit another clutch shot to seal the victory for the Lakers.
LA led the series 3-1, but ultimately lost in seven games. However, the end of Game 4 will forever be one of the greatest finishes in Lakers history.
