During the 2001 NBA Playoffs nearly pulled off a feat that has never been done before. After sweeping their first three opponents in the Western Conference playoffs, the Lakers were four wins away from becoming the first team in NBA history to sweep their way to an NBA Championship.

Unfortunately, Allen Iverson spoiled the Lakers’ chances at accomplishing it. However, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers would go on to complete one of the most dominant postseason runs in history, winning the championship by going 15-1 in the playoffs.

To this day, many continue to believe that that Lakers team, which had Kobe and Shaq at their peaks, is the best team in NBA history. Yes, even better than any of Michael Jordan’s Bulls.
