Boston’s Silver Lining

If you’re looking for anything position from Game 5 from the Celtics’ perspective, just look at the first quarter. Boston actually led 20-15; they had a strong start. It was pleasant surprise to see how effectively the Celtics were moving the ball – probably the best of there series.

Crowder got an easy and dunk and made an open three; Smart hit two three-pointers in the first to help the lead gain.

These crucial first quarter plays transpired because the tenacious rack-attack of Isaiah Thomas.

And he’s done that for most of this series; Thomas has been a beast. If Boston takes anything away from this ugly – and costly – loss, it’s that their offense did show signs of life. Boston should not worry yet – ever home team, so far in this series, has won on their home court.
