Kyrie Irving/Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers*

There’s an asterisk because this is assuming that the Golden State Warriors, not the Cleveland Cavaliers, win this year’s NBA Championship. Under that assumption, I highly doubt the Cavs will continue to go down this road with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love being LeBron’s running mates heading into next season.

They probably won’t trade both, but trading one seems like a safe bet this summer. Of course, this would be a bit more tricky. The Cavs don’t want future assets. They would be looking for dividends now. They want players that could play next to LeBron immediately. And that probably means this will be a star-for-star blockbuster-type trade.

So, that automatically limits his market.

Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony have been two names that have been thrown around in these types of hypothetical swaps with the Cavs. Though, I’m not sure either the Knicks or Clippers would have any interest is such move.

Either way, these are two names to watch this summer. Especially if the Cavs lose in the NBA Finals again.
