2016 NBA Draft: Ranking And Analyzing The Top 20 Prospects
17. Demetrius Jackson, G, Notre Dame
He isn’t the biggest of point guards in the pool, but at 6-foot-1 Demetrius Jackson proved that he can handle the reins of a team – he led Notre Dame to the Elite Eight this past season.
Jackson is an aggressive point guard that has an explosive first step and can even step behind the three-point line – he shot it at a near 40 percent clip throughout his career at Notre Dame. There’s no doubt that his size might be his biggest weakness. After all, it’s not something that can be taught.
He also isn’t proven as a true point guard, which can be somewhat problematic for teams wanting to invest in him.
