4. Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have something that none of the other teams on this list have. Pat Riley. If the Heat were able to land a player like Kevin Durant this summer, it wouldn’t be because of Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh. It will be because of Riley.

Sure, the fact that the Heat has a nice mix of veterans and young up-and-comers help, but Riley would be the true selling point if Durant were to fly South to Miami. The selling point on signing in Miami would be the weaker Eastern Conference and the ability of Riley to build a team around Durant, just as he for LeBron James during his four years in Miami.

If Durant were to sign in Miami, they’d automatically be one of two favorites to come out of the East. Although, the big wild card is Bosh.
