14. Chicago Bulls
Pick: Timothe Luwawu, SG/SF, France
Assuming that Chicago keeps their core intact, and that they don’t trade up for one of the dynamic guards, I fully expect the Bulls to address their thin wing depth. Starting Mike Dunleavy is something that they shouldn’t have to do next season. Drafting competition, and options, will help accomplish that.
Drafting Timothy Luwawu from France may not be the popular pick, but it’s one that is necessary. He has great size, standing at 6-foot-6, and is athletic enough to be an effective player in the NBA. He can defend and can shoot the basketball from deep.
Luwawu has all the tools that Nic Batum had when he came over from overseas. Not saying that he is Batum, or will be as good as he is, but he has the same tools.
