4. Phoenix Suns

Pick: Dragan Bender, Maccabi Tel Aviv

In the end, the Phoenix Suns got the prospect that they were hoping would fall to them. Dragan Bender. For much of the weeks and months leading up to the draft, many assumed that the Celtics would take Bender.

In the end, they opted for the athlete and here we are. I’m not sure how long it’s going to take for Bender to develop into a contributor in the NBA, but he’s worth the gamble. He can shoot, has great athleticism and has the length modern-era bigs in the NBA possess.

Bender is the perfect fit for the Suns. He doesn’t have to be the next Kristaps Porzingis to be successful. He just can’t be a bust.
