16. Al Jefferson, Unrestricted

In today’s NBA, it’s no surprise that there isn’t a big market for Al Jefferson’s services. In fact, with free agency less than a week away, I’m not sure we’ve even heard a whisper when it comes to interest in Jefferson.

Nevertheless, while he doesn’t offer much to many other teams in the NBA, he’s still very valuable to a team like the Charlotte Hornets, who relied on Jefferson for their only post presence. Perhaps his biggest value was evident in the playoffs, when the Hornets were getting clobbered by the Heat in the paint.

Re-signing in Charlotte makes the most sense for both Jefferson and the Hornets.
