Memphis Grizzlies

Notable Additions: Chandler Parsons

Free Agency Grade: A

After rumors that Mike Conley could in fact leave this summer, the Memphis Grizzlies ended up with one of their best offseasons in recent history. And that was accomplished by inking their first big name free agent in franchise history – Chandler Parsons.

Even though they probably slightly overpaid for the versatile forward, it was worth it considering that his signing clinched the return of Conley. They now have one of the better trios in the NBA in Conley, Parsons and Marc Gasol.

I’m not sure if it’ll be good enough to compete with the likes of the Warriors, but it’ll be interesting to see where the Grizzlies finish out the season. Perhaps…third? Especially now that the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken a step back?
