Utah Jazz

Notable Additions: Joe Johnson, Boris Diaw (via trade)

Free Agency Grade: B+

I absolutely love what the Utah Jazz did this summer. Not only did they add a solid scoring option in Joe Johnson, Mr. Seven-Time, but they also brought in another veteran that knows the culture of winning – Boris Diaw.

Assuming that he doesn’t get too fat (I think that’s a joke. I think), Diaw will be a great fit for the Jazz. He can play the stretch-4 or even the small ball 5. Whether Cool Joe comes off the bench or starts, he gives Utah a dimension that they didn’t have last season, as a professional scorer.

The added shooting of both will definitely help, as well. Don’t forget, the Jazz are also expecting the return of Dante Exum at some point this season. The future is bright for the Jazz. Could we finally begin to see them blossom this season?
