Los Angeles Lakers

Notable Additions: Luol Deng, Timofey Mozgov

Free Agency Grade: B-

The Los Angeles Lakers did great by re-signing Jordan Clarkson quickly, before the rest of the market got to him, and brought in one of the most professional players in the NBA in Luol Deng. It’s never a bad offseason when you do those types of moves.

Then, there’s the Timofey Mozgov signing. The only reason why I don’t like it is because it took place shortly after free agency opened – it was literally the first agreement reported – and the fact that we now know that Festus Ezeli could’ve been had for much less.

Either way, unless the Lakers would’ve signed Kevin Durant, nothing they would’ve done in free agency moves the dial much.
