Washington Wizards

Biggest Hole: A Consistent Second Fiddle

We know what we’re going to get from John Wall. He’s still getting better and is probably one of the most overlooked stars in the NBA, and a lot of that has to do with his poor supporting cast. Last summer, after the Wizards made a bit of a surprising run to the second round of the playoffs, many expected Washington to take a big step this past season.

Safe to say, after missing the playoffs entirely, they didn’t take that step.

While a lot of it had to do with the injury bug that the Wizards were fighting through for much of the season, the simple fact remains tat the Wizards simply lack a true second fiddle to Wall. Unfortunately, that wasn’t addressed this summer.

I suppose the big question for the Wizards entering the season is whether or not Bradley Beal will eventually transform into that sidekick that Wall has always lacked.
