Biggest Hole: Energy Big Off The Bench

After making a run to the Eastern Conference Finals, it almost feels like the general NBA fanbase has forgotten all about the Toronto Raptors. With all the attention on Kevin Durant and the craziness that ensued during free agency, every stride that Toronto made during the playoffs seems for not.

This summer, the Raptors re-signed DeMar DeRozan, which was their top priority, but lost Bismack Biyombo in the process. The hope is that their lottery draft pick Jakob Poeltl will help fill Biyombo’s big shoes; the same could be said about Jared Sullinger, who comes over from the Celtics.

Still, it’s not going to be easy to simply replace the type of energy that BB brought off the bench. At the end of the day, as long as DeRozan and Kyle Lowry are around – and right – they’re going to be fine.
