With the evolution of the power forward position very much in effect, we ranked the top 10 power forwards in the NBA entering the 2016-17 season

There’s no question that the NBA is in the midst of an evolution. As we’ve discussed before, the NBA’s big man is being used much differently than its ever been used before.

And while much of the attention of such changes are centered around the center position, the power forwards of the league are also much more versatile than they’ve been recently. Whether it be their ability to shoot the three-point shot or having to defend more agile wings, the argument could be made that the power forward position is the most difficult to play in today’s game.

Whether that remains true or not is irrelevant though. The bottom line, though, is that, if nothing else, it’s one of one the most important positions. You HAVE to have a big that can stretch the floor.

As we continue our NBA Player Rankings series, we put together a list of the top 10 power forwards in the NBA entering the 2016-17 season.
