21. Dallas Mavericks

Projected Starting Five: Deron Williams, Wes Matthews, Harrison Barnes, Dirk Nowitzki, Andrew Bogut

On paper, the Dallas Mavericks’ starting lineup doesn’t look half bad. However, when you begin to breakdown each name, you understand why they’re ranked 21.

Starting with the point guard, Deron Williams isn’t the player he used to be. Wes Matthews is another big name, but there’s still a question as to whether he’s ever going to be the player he was before his Achilles injury again.

Harrison Barnes is a big question mark, despite the max contract he signed. Dirk has been the consistent hand that the Mavs have leaned on for the last few years, but he’s 38 years old. Trading for Andrew Bogut is one of the most underrated moves of the summer. Though, this team still lacks star power.
