2. Michael Jordan, Chicago Bulls (1986-87)

Stats: 37.1 PPG, 4.6 APG, 5.2 RPG, 2.9 SPG, 1.5 BPG, 21.2 WS

86-87 Accolades: NBA MVP, DPOY, Scoring Champ

This couldn’t be a top individual season list without the great one, Michael Jordan.

MJ actually did everything possible this season. He won the only individual accolades that mattered to his position as seen above. He almost put up 40 a night coming just short with 37, but he didn’t just score.

Jordan played some of the best defense of all-time this season as well as putting up 5 and 5 in his peripheral stats. He was unstoppable on both ends of the court this season and had officially fulfilled his spot in NBA history. While this magnificent individual season from Jordan didn’t end with an NBA Championship, we all know that his best (championship-wise) was yet to come.
