One Hot Take You Totally Missed On Prior To The Season…

Saenz: DeMarcus Cousins would be traded at some point this season. I guess I was wrong.

Morton: Didn’t see James Harden averaging this many assist.

Polazzon: LaMarcus Aldridge would be the biggest name traded this season. I heard all the rumors and thought that it was strange because there were hardly ever any rumors coming out of San Antonio. The Spurs’ surprising second round exit also caused me to believe that Aldridge was potentially out the door. In retrospect, it was foolish of me to ever doubt the San Antonio Spurs organisation, who currently obtain the league’s second best record and are just fine with LaMarcus Aldridge on the squad.

McFee: The Magic would be a playoff team. Prior to the season I was a huge fan of just about every move they made, even the Jeff Green signing. Under the tutelage of new head coach Frank Vogel I saw them sneaking into the playoffs somewhere in the 6-8 seed range. Instead, they’re 21-36 and headed nowhere fast. They just shipped out Serge Ibaka for Terrence Ross and a 1st rounder to salvage another lost season, but they have no roster identity and are frankly painful to watch. Maybe they should trade for Jameer and Dwight again to try and find some old magic. (Pun intended, and I’m half kidding).

Gonzalez: I said Portland was gonna be a 3-4 seed, win 55-60 games and Lillard a top five MVP candidate. Oh, boy was I wrong. They really have just collapsed. You can go find the tweets if you want but I won’t promotionally tagged them just to save my mentions.
