Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks

As much as I want this saga to end, I’m afraid that this will roll into the NBA’s offseason. Because of his contract and his no-trade clause, it’s simply too much to ask for Carmelo Anthony to get traded at the deadline.

Even though it would probably be the best course of action for both sides, don’t hold your breath for a Melo trade in the next 24 hours.

You might here another rumor or two between now and then, and you better bet that Phil Jackson will be working his tail off to find a deal that would be OK’d by the Melo camp.
