The Golden State Warriors easily took care of business in Game 4, blowing out the Utah Jazz 121-95. With the win, the Dubs obtained its second straight sweep in the postseason. Here are a few takeaways from Game 4

After surviving a very physical Game 3, the Golden State Warriors looked poise to close out the Utah Jazz. As expected, the Dubs did end the series in style and booked their ticket to the Western Conference Finals for the third straight year.

Before moving on, here are a few takeaways from the decisive Game 4 between the Warriors and Jazz.

Kevin Durant Does Not Always Have to Dominate the Scoring Load for the Warriors

More from Sir Charles In Charge

In Game 3, Kevin Durant had to take care of the scoring load for the Warriors because Draymond Green and Klay Thompson struggled to produce. Yet, in Game 4, Green and Thompson showed up and produced the numbers expected of them. Thus, KD was able to just stay within the flow of the game and did not have to dominate as much as he did in Game 3.

This allowed Golden State to have a more balanced attack, which made them even tougher to beat.

Was this Gordon Hayward’s Last Game as a Member of the Utah Jazz?

Gordon Hayward has been absolutely spectacular during this postseason. He was very consistent throughout and proved to everyone that he wasn’t afraid of the bright lights of the playoffs.

Yet, this run may have also attracted even more suitors for Utah’s superstar player this coming July when he will be an unrestricted free agent.

The lure of playing for Brad Stevens and the Celtics, or playing for Coach Spo and Pat Riley, or even wearing the Lakers’ purple and gold are just some of the many options that he would have this summer.

Utah’s massive potential for the upcoming years hinges on Gordon Hayward’s decision eight weeks from now.

Steph Curry is Fine

Whenever Steph Curry tweaks his ankle, there is always reason to be concerned. Still, after his performance in Game 4, it seems like Chef is “A” ok. Curry scored 30 points in only 15 shot attempts. He also had five boards and seven dimes. More importantly, Curry registered a +/- of +33 in Game 4.

Obviously, Steph Curry is OK and Warriors fans have nothing to worry about.

Is Dante Exum still the Point Guard for the Future for the Jazz?

Dante Exum’s career has been derailed by the ACL injury he suffered before his sophomore year even started last season.

This year, he came back but never really got the big minutes with George Hill running the show.

Still, for a guy who hasn’t been playing at all, his performance in Game 4 was pretty encouraging. Exum scored 15 points, grabbed three boards with two dimes and one steal.

As expected, shooting percentages were low. Still, what was more important was that he stayed prepared and waited patiently, for his chance to show that he could compete at this level.

Exum just needs a chance. Utah should at least give him one.
