New Orleans Pelicans

Ah, now it gets interesting. Say Kyle Lowry doesn’t want to stay with the Raptors and he doesn’t want to go home, maybe he’d rather sign with a team like the New Orleans Pelicans. After being haunted by LeBron for years, maybe he’d rather take his chance in the Western Conference.

The Pelicans, who added DeMarcus Cousins at the NBA Trade Deadline, could be looking for a third star to insert next to Boogie and Anthony Davis. Maybe Lowry would work.

New Orleans would likely have to do some maneuvering with their salary, but moving Omer Asik could open enough money to bring on a player like Lowry – this is assuming they also let Jrue Holiday walk this summer.

Though, this trio would have a tall task in climbing up the Western Conference ladder.
