Not only is Devin Booker cocky, but he has the game to back it up

Devin Booker was phenomenal this season. He had a 70 point game and his first career NBA buzzer beater. The only thing that could sweeten the pot for this young kid is a taste of the playoffs, but he’ll be there soon enough. Booker is known for having a mouth. He talks trash like the best of them, but at least he has the skills to back up his claims.

Back in February, Phoenix was playing Memphis and things became a little tense after Booker fouled Troy Daniels.

Not only did Daniels get the foul, but he made the shot. So, obviously, he was feeling pretty cocky after that. You know that feeling when you’re ballin’ with your friends and you sink the game, winner? You feel on top of the world as if nothing can stop you. I imagine that’s exactly how Daniels felt – even though it wasn’t a game winner.

Naturally, he started to talk some smack with the opposing team. Why not stir the pot just a little bit, right? Well, he did manage to stir and he was stirring to his heart’s content.

Booker was not a fan of Daniels’ stirring and was not afraid to dole out some criticism Daniels’ way.

Nothing that Booker said was false. Daniels has been on a multitude of teams in a short amount of time. Plus, Daniels was playing garbage minutes when he hit the three. He had no authority to talk trash with Booker.

Booker was obviously not phased by the shade, though, because he repeated “it is what it is” at least three times.

Let’s just say the future is brighter for Booker than Daniels.
