5. Sacramento Kings select De’Aaron Fox: PG – Kentucky

I’m not as high on De’Aaron Fox as the rest of the draft community, but I like his fit in Sacramento. They could use a point guard, and he has elite upside. If Fox fixes his jump shot, he could be the best player in this draft.

His elite size and athleticism will make him a defensive presence and tough to stop in the fast break. The Kings need a guard that can play defense because of Buddy Hield’s defensive limitations. I’d take Fox if I was Vlade Divac.

6. Orlando Magic select Jayson Tatum: SF – Duke

Jayson Tatum is one of the safest players in the draft. He’s a combo forward, but some see him as a bit of a tweener. The one issue with Tatum is his defensive potential. If he can bulk up to defend stretch fours while keeping his quickness to defend most small forwards, he could become a 2-way star.

Tatum is already a professional scorer. His three-point shot isn’t perfect yet, but it’s well on its way. Orlando could use a small forward with Tatum’s scoring prowess.
