Ricky Rubio Gets Traded

It’s pretty clear that the Minnesota Timberwolves want an upgrade at the point guard position, or at the very least want to move on from Ricky Rubio.

While I don’t expect them to draft ANOTHER point guard with a top 10 pick – they drafted Kris Dunn last season – I do expect to see Rubio moved on draft night. It will open up a big more cap space for the Wolves to pursue one of the free agent point guards on the open market in July – George Hill, Jrue Holiday or Jeff Teague.

Or, they could trade for a veteran point guard on the open market.

Goran Dragic

First things first, the Wolves need to find a trade partner for Rubio. I think they find one this week.
