Malik Monk Falls Out Of The Top 8

In most NBA mock drafts, Malik Monk is drafted somewhere between picks No. 4-8. Although, I believe there’s going to be at least one big name that will drop out of the top 8. And I believe that Malik Monk will be that prospect.

Here’s my reasoning: since the point guards are soaring up the draft boards, I fully expect Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, De’Aaron Fox and Dennis Smith Jr. to be drafted in the top 8. That leaves for four other spots. Justin Jackson, Jayson Tatum, Frank Ntilikina and Lauri Markkanen – and possibly Luke Kennard or Donovan Mitchell – could also be selected ahead of Monk.

Monk could fall to No. 9 or 10, perhaps lower. However, I don’t think he’ll drop past Sacramento at No. 10. That would surprise me.
