NBA Rumors: Atlanta Hawks trade Dwight Howard to the Hornets
NBA Rumors: The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly traded Dwight Howard to the Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets needed a center. Since the team decided to move on from Al Jefferson last summer, the void has not been filled.
And instead of acquiring one through this week’s NBA Draft, they decided to trade for one.
According to The Undefeated’s Marc Spears, the Hawks are trading Dwight Howard to the Hornets in exchange for Marco Bellineli and Miles Plumlee. The two teams will also swap second-round picks in the 2017 NBA Draft.

During the last few seasons, Howard has struggled to find the right roll for him. After being forced out of Houston, mostly because he didn’t get along with James Harden and others, Howard found his way to his hometown Atlanta Hawks last summer.
After signing a huge deal, days before Al Horford would elect to sign with the Boston Celtics, Howard was looking to revitalize his career in Atlanta. However, that didn’t exactly happen.
Even though he had his occasional bright spots with the Hawks, the even make the playoffs, he simply wasn’t a fit.
Now he will try to find his footing once again in Charlotte, who do play a more slow down pace. Kemba, who utilizes his bigs more than most point guards, should find use of Howard’s big frame.
Question is, can Howard finally change the narrative on his career? In everyone of his NBA stops, its ended…bad.
Can he avoid that in Charlotte, who could very present his last opportunity?
