11. Charlotte Hornets – Malik Monk, G, Charlotte Hornets

After a brief stumble down NBA Draft boards, the Charlotte Hornets select Malik Monk with the No. 11 pick. I’m not entirely sure why Monk fell down to 11, when almost every mock draft had Monk in the top 8.

However, everyone else’s loss is Charlotte’s gain. Monk will fit right in. He has the talent to fill up the stat sheet, especially when it comes to scoring. The biggest problem with Monk is that he isn’t a true point guard or a true shooting guard.

He’ll likely play the 2 at the NBA level, but by no means is he the ideal shooting guard. But getting a talent at his caliber is amazing at 11.
