NBA Free Agency Rumors Roundup: Chris Paul traded, Paul George next?
Free Agency has not even started yet, but the madness is already upon us in the NBA offseason. What’s happened recently?
Chris Paul To The Houston Rockets
Chris Paul will continue his quest for a Conference Finals appearance, but it won’t be in Los Angeles. Jerry West’s first move as a Clippers is to send the All-Star Point Guard to Houston in return for a First Round Pick, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley.
Can Harden and Paul play together, or will their ball dominance butt heads? We won’t know until the season starts, but the Rockets are certainly in a position to contend for a championship even more so now.
Phil Jackson Is Gone
After years of agony and paint, Phil Jackson is getting the boot from New York. Knicks owner James Dolan has finally sent the Zen Master out the door. After completely turning the Knicks in to a raging dumpster fire, New York will be back to square one with whoever they ire as their new GM.
Some possible candidates would be Cavs former GM David Griffin or Raptors GM Masai Ujiri.
Where Is Paul George Going?
What seems like what will be the main headline all summer is where is Paul George going? That is a question no one can still answer. With rumors to Boston, Cleveland and Los Angeles (Lakers), no one knows exactly still what is real and what isn’t.
Boston clearly can give Indiana the best package, but will they want to for a possible one year rental who still might not put them over the top? Does Cleveland have the assets? Does George want to join a non playoff team?
Well now there is another player in for PG13’s talents. With the recent stated acquisition of Chris Paul, the Houston Rockets will look to now acquire Paul George to form their own 3 Headed monster.
Frank Ntilikina Already Dinged Up
The Knicks seemed like it would be best to give their 8th overall pick no offseason, so they immediately sent him to summer league practice, even after his Euro campaign just ended.
This result in Frank being seen with ice on his knee, walking gingerly out of the gym.
What Are The Best Landing Spots For Andre Roberson And George Hill?
Roberson and Hill are two very good, respective players who have seen little talk this offseason. Where could they end up?
Lastly, LeBron James is CERTAINLY not going to the Clippers. But I will say this:
Carmelo Anthony – 1 Year Left
Chris Paul – 1 Year Left
LeBron James – 1 Year Left
Dwyane Wade – 1 Year Left
