NBA: Ranking all 30 head coaches ahead of the 2017-18 season
24. Frank Vogel, Orlando Magic
In his first season with the Orlando Magic, Frank Vogel did about what everyone expected him to; not much. Vogel is a good coach and he proved that by taking Indiana to the playoffs, but there is only so much you can do with a roster that is 85 percent post players.
Vogel needs more time to get players to fit his system in Orlando without forcing true power forwards to play small forward. Their offensive rating last year was second to last in the entire league along with their three-point shooting percentage.
Their roster is still looking very rough for the 2018 season and I don’t see Orlando or Vogel seeing a real improvement.
