The best NBA rivalry of 2017-18 will be…

Dunn: Golden State-Cleveland. These two teams are on a collision course for a fourth NBA Finals meeting in as many years, and as long as LeBron is on the Cavs the Warriors are going to have to take them seriously.

Cleveland is still the only team that can beat the Warriors, though it’s difficult to see them downing a healthy Golden State group four times in seven games. That’s what we said in 2015, though. It’s hard to bet against The King.

Macri: Joel Embiid vs fate. He’s so clearly the next big thing in the league. Star power, personality, game, drive – it’s all there. The only thing holding him back is court time. If he can make it through the year unscathed, it changes the entire trajectory for not only the Sixers, but the entire Eastern Conference.
