8. Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons, along with the Orlando Magic, have been the surprise of the NBA so far this season. Not only have the Pistons been exceeding expectations thus far, but the addition of Avery Bradley is having bigger impact than anyone could’ve imagined.

Detroit is sporting the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and a top 10 offensive and defensive rating this season. That’s quite impressive.

I’m not sure if this pace is sustainable for the Pistons this season, but they’re definitely going to be in the playoff mix.
