The Move: Bench punch, perhaps Nikola Mirotic

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a solid starting 5. In fact, on paper, they might have one of the best starting 5’s in the NBA. One weak area that has hindered the Wolves is their bench. According to Hoops Stats, the Wolves have the second worst scoring bench in the NBA.

That’s problematic for a team that has hopes of making some serious noise in the playoffs.

With a hat tip to Hoops Habit’s Michael Walton, one interesting option could be Nikola Mirotic, who is reportedly going to be traded over the next few weeks. It’s a matter of where, not if, and the Wolves should make the call.
