2018 NBA Power Rankings: It’s time to sell on the Cleveland Cavaliers

15. New Orleans Pelicans (21-20)

When the New Orleans Pelicans traded for DeMarcus Cousins at the NBA All-Star break last season, I don’t think they envisioned sneaking into the playoffs as an 8th seed, only to get swept by the Golden State Warriors in embarrassing fashion.

However, if they continue down this path, that’s exactly what’s going to happen this season. Unfortunately, the all-star frontcourt of Boogie Cousins and Anthony Davis isn’t enough. The NBA is moving away from the dominant bigs, and this is a perfect example why – having bigs as your best players simply doesn’t pay off.

Should the Pelicans trade Cousins, knowing full well that he could walk in a few months?
