2018 NBA Power Rankings: It’s time to sell on the Cleveland Cavaliers

5. Minnesota Timberwolves (28-16)

Quietly, the Minnesota Timberwolves have nearly climbed ahead of the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference standings. It’s amazing considering that the narrative just a few weeks ago was that Tom Thibodeau didn’t know how to manage the team’s minutes.

While that still may be true, the fact remains that the Wolves are getting better and better by each passing game.

This team has the recipe to be really dangerous once the playoffs begin. As long as they can avoid the Golden State Warriors, they should have a decent shot at being a dark horse to make the conference finals.
