Cavs Get: C.J. McCollum, Ed Davis

Portland Gets: Kevin Love, Channing Frye

If the Cleveland Cavaliers truly miss Kyrie Irving, it would make sense to get a Kyrie Irving type of player. And there’s a player in Portland that would make a lot of sense.

Assuming that the Portland Trail Blazers want to shake up their roster in some way, they could trade C.J. McCollum and Ed Davis for Kevin Love and Channing Frye. McCollum could fill the void that Isaiah Thomas unfortunately hasn’t been able to fill and Davis could give them a spark off the bench.

Cleveland could still elect to move Thomas and Tristan Thompson elsewhere if they so choose to. But McCollum could give this team a breath of fresh air that they haven’t had in a very long time.
