Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets

This was an interesting one since it was first reported. On the surface, and in a pure basketball sense, it makes sense for the Charlotte Hornets to move on from Kemba Walker. After all, the team is quickly sinking and hasn’t gotten better in two years.

However, from a business standpoint, it doesn’t make much sense. The Hornets don’t have a draw to the arena other than Walker, and they aren’t bad enough to grab a pick high enough to draft a new franchise player at the moment. The Hornets need Walker. Michael Jordan needs Walker. The fans need him.

And that’s what makes this all the more difficult. Even though I firmly believe that the Hornets should move Walker sooner rather than later, I don’t think he gets moved.

Verdict: Sell
