16. Philadelphia 76ers: Kevin Knox, PF/SF, Kentucky

Big Board Rank: 22

Even though I’m not high on Kevin Knox, Philly probably reaches for a player like him with this pick. The 76ers aren’t going to take a true big man since stash prospects Jonah Bolden and Mathias Lessort are looking like their future backup centers overseas.

Knox will bring size, length, and floor spacing, and could create some matchup problems as a small ball four with wing versatility. He might not be up to par defensively and with his decision making to play at the speed of the NBA. Also, if you don’t buy his shot Knox really doesn’t become an offensive threat.

The 76ers should give Knox minutes off the bench right away, but they should probably sign a veteran big in case he can’t handle meaningful NBA minutes.
