19. Portland Trail Blazers: Chandler Hutchison, SG/SF, Boise State

Big Board Rank: 17

Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum currently make up 47 percent of the Trail Blazers points, and their third leading scorer Jusuf Nurkic’s contract is up this offseason. Even if the Trail Blazers resign Nurkic, Portland needs somebody who can put the ball in the hoop this offseason.

Enter Chandler Hutchison, who has already been dubbed the “Kyle Kuzma” of the draft class. Hutchison is averaging 20.3 points per game and has been one of the best scorers in the country. Hutchison projects as an off-ball scorer that’s going to attack closeouts, finish at the rim, and maybe even handle in transition.

For Hutchison to even be considered as a possible offensive threat you must believe in his jumpshot. He’s not quite athletic enough to attack and score in the half court if he’s not being closed out on. If he’s knocking down open shots, there’s no reason why Hutchison can’t be a top 3 or 5 scorer on this team as a rookie.
