23. Washington Wizards: Jalen Brunson, PG, Villanova

Big Board Rank: 30

This is a huge reach, but it just highlights how much I love Jalen Brunson, and how confident I am in Jalen Brunson’s ability to play in the NBA. He isn’t going to be a guy that’s an all-star, he might not even be a starter, but Jalen Brunson is at worst a long term backup point guard in the NBA.

A backup point guard is exactly what the Wizards need with Tim Frazier’s contract up this off season. Even though Frazier wasn’t cutting it anyways. Brunson should step in from day one and get the ball in the hands of guys like Beal, Otto Porter, Kelly Oubre, and many more. Brunson’s high IQ will help him limit his turnovers and get these guys in position to score.

He can finish at the rim with his strength and has been shooting the ball at absolutely unreal clip this season. Currently shooting 54% from the field and 45% from three Brunson can knock down shots of the catch or hit his favorite mid-range pull up.
